Take a Moment...

Love - Definition: An intense feeling of deep affection. Synonyms: fondness, tenderness, warmth, intimacy, attachment, endearment, passion, adore, desire, lust, yearning, infatuation.
Love... A word that connotes many feelings and emotions. It is versatile. It can be expressed in many ways. We believe, it is the most powerful word in the world. Along with the love we have for each other, we would like you to experience the full range of love in our lives.
We have been blessed with the opportunity to show Christ's love to many people in many different ways. As we enter into a wonderful holiday season and celebrate with our families, let us not forget about those who are not able to enjoy Christmas from the comfort of their own homes. Please help us support and raise awareness for a family near and dear to our hearts.
This is Cody Malone, he is 18 years old and suffers from Spinal muscular atrophy type 2 (SMA II).
"SMA II is a disorder that affects the control of muscle movements. It is caused by a loss of specialized nerve cells, called motor neurons, in the spinal cord and the part of the brain that is connected to the spinal cord (the brainstem). The loss of motor neurons leads to weakness and wasting (atrophy) of muscles used for activities such as crawling, walking, sitting up, and controlling head movement. As there is no cure for SMA, treatment basically consists of managing the symptoms and preventing complications."
After struggling in and out of home care, he has been admitted to the Childrens Hospital in Aurora, Co. Cody and his mother Patty have resided there for over 14 months now. Patty is a single mom and his primary care taker. She has devoted her life to Cody and stayed by his side through every success and set back. In doing so, she has also developed severe health problems of her own. Lacking insurance and a job she has no way to pay a premium to receive the care she needs. As if fighting for Cody's life isn't enough, they are unable to pay bills and cover living expenses outside of the hospital.
Through each surgery and future challenge, we are praying relentlessly. As it is an integral part of their lives, it would mean so much to them if you joined us. We share the belief that the more people united together in prayer, the more powerful it becomes.
If anyone could find it in their heart to donate to Cody and Patty, there is a link located below. Your donation will not only help relieve stresses but allow them to focus on what is really important at this moment, his life, her health, and the stability of their home.

Introduction

Welcome fellow creative minds! Some of you have been involved and supported us since day one, and some of you are just now joining us. We invite you to step into our wardrobe and explore the world through our eyes. In creating this blog, our purpose is to help change lives by showing how two imperfect people can display Christ's love by loving one another. We are dying to share our adventure of love. True, one of a kind, heart throbbing, movie script worthy, groundbreaking, breathtaking, earth shaking, undeniable, love. Honestly, we want everybody to experience love as it was originally intended; primarily because we almost missed out. We can only hope that our story will encourage others to grow in their relationship with Jesus. If Jesus is unfamiliar to you THIS BLOG IS ALSO FOR YOU!! Yes, we are believers, and yes we LOVE Jesus, BUT that does not mean we don’t know what it’s like to be of this world. There was a time when both of us were consumed by our sin. Because we BOTH made the decision to surrender our lives to Christ, He is the driving force of our relationship. Our primary focus is living and sharing God's love because, without this, we would have nothing. Throughout this process, our deepest desire is to involve you in our discoveries. As we learn and grow, we will be openly acknowledging our faults and struggles. Our hope is that they may be an illuminating light to you!

From the beginning, a common passion for both of us has been music. I am sure many of you can relate. While we sought out comfort and peace in each other’s absence, we quickly found that sending songs helped ease our wandering minds. We began to realize the magnitude of our connection as we exchanged our favorite anthems. It’s as if we were already connected, before we even had the opportunity to experience it. As our story unfolds, we will be sharing the songs that captivated our hearts.

“Let It Be” by Blackmill played a vital role in the progression of our relationship. We suddenly found ourselves head over heels (or boots as Chelsea so eloquently put it). Because of our unfiltered and honest communication, we were growing close at a rapid pace. Together we made the decision to slow down and take our relationship one step at a time. We had to be very mindful to "Let it be." Follow us as we follow Jesus, and so it begins...

1 Corinthians 2:9

"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him."
